UniFi UNAS Pro: what it is & who it's for
Seven bays for $499 works out to $71 a bay, against $100 on the UNAS Pro 8 and $125 on the UNAS Pro 4. What it gives up to the Pro 8 is everything around the bays: no NVMe cache, one SFP+ port instead of two, 1.7 GHz instead of 2.0 and half the memory. Bulk capacity on a budget: backups, archives and media where bay count matters more than cache, clock speed or a second uplink.
