Pricing & Positioning
What separates them? Housing, mostly. The G6 Pro Turret lists at $479 and the G6 Pro Dome at $499, with the same 1/1.2" sensor, 2.36× optical zoom, and 40 m IR. The dome is IK10; the turret is IK04 but rated to -30 °C with two-way audio. (G6 Pro Dome specs)
Ubiquiti announced these two together in October 2025, completing the zoom-lens Pro group that began with the G6 Pro Bullet two months earlier. All three carry the same sensor and 2.36× zoom lens, so the $20 between the turret and the dome is not paying for a better picture. It pays for a polycarbonate bubble over the lens and a housing built to take a blow.
That makes this one of the simpler decisions in the range, and one where the cheaper camera is often the right one. A dome is a specialist body for exposed positions; a turret is the general-purpose choice everywhere else. How to choose a UniFi Protect camera covers the full set of bodies, and the Security Cameras hub lists them side by side.
