UniFi Protect G6 Instant
The plug-and-play way into 4K UniFi Protect — Wi-Fi and USB-C power mean no Ethernet run, but the IPX5 rating keeps it indoors and the 6 m IR limits it to small rooms.
UniFi Protect cameras: resolution, sensor size, IR range, and smart-detection features compared across indoor, outdoor, and PTZ models.
Four UniFi Protect G6 cameras cover most installs, all sharing a 1/1.8" 8MP 4K sensor and the Multi-TOPS AI engine. The G6 Instant ($179) is the Wi-Fi, USB-C-powered indoor pick with on-board microSD. The G6 Bullet ($199, IP66, 30 m IR, 9.9 W PoE) is the default outdoor camera, and the G6 Turret ($199) is the same image in a discreet eyeball housing rated to -30 °C. The G6 PTZ ($399, PoE+, 10× hybrid zoom, 350° pan, auto-tracking) is the only motorized model — one steerable camera for large areas.

The default outdoor G6 — a weatherproof IP66 bullet with 30 m IR reach and the lowest power draw of the wired lineup, at the same $199 as the Turret.

The same 4K image as the Bullet in a lower-profile turret that aims more easily and is rated colder (-30 °C) — the better pick under eaves or in harsh climates, at the same $199.

The only moving camera in the G6 line — dual lenses, 10× hybrid zoom, and 350° / 100° auto-tracking cover a whole forecourt from one mount, but at $399 and 24.5 W PoE+ it is twice the Turret.
