Pros
- Four 2.5/3.5" bays with data protection — more recording capacity than any gateway here offers
- 10G SFP+ plus 2.5 GbE, so the recorder is not the bottleneck on a busy Protect site
- Runs Protect, Access and Connect on one appliance, and manages 150+ access hubs
- USP-RPS input for power redundancy
Cons
- Using the built-in HDMI viewport drops the rating from 30 to 20 4K cameras
- $699 before a single drive — the disks are extra
- Rack only, and it does no routing or switching: this is storage and decode, nothing else
